For more than 20 years, Pondsco has been a family-owned and family-operated business. Our founder, Mike Ponds, a former developer, construction coordinator, and commercial property management professional, established our company with a service-oriented mindset. His insider knowledge of our customers’ needs led to our core values of exceeding our customers’ standards and expectations at a competitive price. Decades later, Pondsco continues to fulfill Mike’s vision with his son, Michael Ponds, as president.

While we pride ourselves on our core services of daily cleaning and general property maintenance, we also take pride in our array of customizable offerings. Our history has seen us provide new construction clean-up and final cleans for numerous enclosed shopping malls exceeding 1.5 million square feet, and for several open-air projects up to 400 acres. We even developed an innovative after-hours tenant trash removal system to overcome a building design flaw and have provided supervision for large central plants.
As our history suggests, we are known for going above and beyond to get the job done, and as a result, red tape is not something our customers encounter. When an issue does arise, customer concerns aren’t routed to a committee where bureaucracy blocks progress. Our managers have a direct line to the heads of our company, and we make every effort to satisfy the situation.

In an industry with rampant turnover, Pondsco maintains a stellar customer retention record: We currently serve several large facilities that have been with us since our founding. We’re an active member of the United States Green Building Council, ISSA, ICSC and are proud to have been a preferred JLL vendor for more than 15 years. As a testament to the care that we put into recruiting, training, and promoting our employees, our very first janitorial employee is still on our payroll.
